Authorship

LaJune is the author of "Releasing My Trauma: The Root of Self-Sabotage.

Overcoming childhood trauma to end self-sabotaging behavior as an adult.

Releasing My Trauma: The Root of Self-Sabotage is a self-help memoir on how the past impacts our mental, physical, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual health. When trauma in our past is not dealt with it can lead to self-sabotaging behaviors in relationships, career, finances, self-love, and our overall wellbeing. For LaJune, years of unresolved hurt, abandonment, grief, anger, depression, fears, and negative thoughts held by her six-year-old self were affecting her adult life and her pain needed to be released. For many years LaJune navigated life through the lens of a hurt, broken, and angry six-year-old child and because she didn't know how to let go of the past it was destroying her life and diminishing her self-worth.

A turning point came when a romantic relationship failed and LaJune looked inward for a solution. What she found was that she was carrying a heavy burden, trauma from her childhood when she was molested, suffered the death of loved ones, when she didn't have the ability or support to deal with the anger and grief, she found this played a major role in shaping her behaviors. She found a way to heal the wounded little girl within her that had worked so hard to be protected from hurt, disappointment, and a broken heart.

This is a journey of healing, growing, and finding yourself through pain of the past.
When you've suffered trauma, learning to overcome it isn't easy but it's very necessary for healing and moving forward.
